10 weitere „Herstellungsfilmchen“ von British Pathé

So richtig will mir zum nachfolgenden Video nichts einfallen, nicht zuletzt, weil es ein kleines Potpourri an eigentlich gleichen und dann doch wieder unterschiedlichen Filmchen der Vergangenheit ist. Viel mehr ist wohl eher der Grund für diesen Beitrag, dass ich schon diverse Filmchen von British Pathé verarbeitet hab und man beinahe schon wahllos eines herauspicken kann und nicht enttäuscht wird.

Dabei ist das nicht einfach nur ein Kanal, da steckt tatsächlich Geschichte hinter. Denn British Pathé ist ein Archiv für die Nachrichten, die Pathé News zwischen 1910 und 1970 produziert hat, vor allem waren das Wochenschauen und Dokumentarfilme. Das Besondere dürfte sein, dass die komplette Sammlung an Nachrichten und Filmen digitalisiert ist und online verfügbar.

Auf YouTube sind das nicht weniger als 105.741 Videos, auf der hauseigenen Seite sind es dann mehr als doppelt so viele. Und auch die Aufrufzahlen insgesamt sind beeindruckend, laut Kanalbeschreibung sind es Stand „jetzt“ 1.525.900.954 Aufrufe – eine krasse Zahl.
