Bereits im Januar hat die Grammy-nominierte und 5-fache Juno-Preisträgerin Jessie Reyez ihre neue Single veröffentlicht und eine mitreißende Live-Performance von Psilocybin & Daisies, dem sechsten in einer Reihe von Tracks, die die Grundlage für ihr neues und drittes Album Paid In Memories.

Das neue Album folgt auf Reyez' von der Kritik hochgelobtes Album Yessie aus dem Jahr 2022 und wartet mit einem Staraufgebot auf, zu dem Ari Lennox, Lil Wayne, Big Sean und Miguel gehören. Psilocybin & Daisies wurde von Jessie geschrieben und von SCUM und Warren ‚Oak‘ Felder produziert und enthält eine temperamentvolle Interpolation von Smashing Pumpkins' 1979.

2025 wurde Jessie für zwei Juno Awards nominiert. Das Video zur Live-Performance wurde von Jon Primo gedreht. “I’m very honored and touched that Jessie would choose to build something so new and beautiful from the bones of one of my songs. She’s so incredibly talented, and has that effortless, honest quality in the voice that I’d admire in the best singers,” says Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins.
