Robinson – Don’t Say
Der aufstrebende Popstar Robinson aus Neuseeland veröffentlichte vor ein paar Wochen die neue Single Don’t Say bei Ministry of Sound Recordings. Mit dem Song kündigte sie gleichzeitig ihre neue EP Watching You an. Don’t Say ist ein verträumter Pop-Track, bei dem es um tiefe Selbstreflexion geht – darüber, wenn man jemanden loslässt, den man einst geliebt hat.
Robinson schrieb den Song zusammen mit Fred Gibson in London, produziert wurde er von Sam De Jong. Robin sagt über die Bedeutung von Don’t Say: “It’s about a love that was once so strong and so bright and overtime the flame burns out – but the familiarity of that love still remains”.
Letztes Jahr erreichte ihre Debütsingle Nothing to Regret Platinstatus in ihrem Heimatland Neuseeland und Doppel-Platin in Australien. Der Song steht bei mittlerweile über 80 Millionen Streams bei Spotify. Robinson wurde ebenfalls 2 mal bei den New Zealand Vodafone Music Awards nominiert: als “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” und “Single of the Year”. VEVO DSCVR und YouTube kürten Robinson dieses Jahr zudem zum “One to Watch 2019”.
